Based in Gansbaai, South Africa, The Global Ocean Video Academy offers a unique experience working with Great White Sharks.

Through a two, four or 6 week internship, candidates will have the opportunity to learn how to film these amazing animals while studying a variety of filming and editing techniques suitable for filming in the tourist adventure video industry. This Program is open to anyone of all ages over 18, and will especially appeal to those seriously considering a career change.

Candidates enroll in the program of their choice, price on application. The course prepares them to a professional level where they can work and gain experience in the diving & tourist filming industry.

Throughout the program, candidates will learn the business of videography, by a practical approach and real time work experience.

Candidates will use up-to-date housed digital video cameras, they will learn the principles of in-camera editing, principles of analog VHS editing, PC based Adobe Premiere editing, the standalone Casablanca edit suite, DVD duplication and more.

Candidates who hold a current diving qualification will also qualify with and benefit through a number of individual courses structured throughout the program to add to their CV. Candidates wishing to obtain an Open Water Diver Course can also qualify during their course.

• PADI Underwater Video Professional (included)

• Candidates will be accommodated in a modern clean shared house near the training ground, for the duration of the Program. Food and drink is not included.
• Transport to and from Cape Town International Airport is included.
• All video equipment used by the Candidates is kept and maintained on site,
• Boats, tanks and weights and all equipment required for scuba diving courses is included.
• Internet facilities are available.
